Quit Support

Chemmart® Pharmacy promises to deliver support & advice to customers taking the difficult step to quit for their life.

The Quit Support Program* follows three key steps – Assess, Counsel & Select. Through a selection of point of sale material and information brochures, customers are encourage to seek professional advice & support from their trusted Chemmart® Pharmacist.

Assess – A one-on-one consultation to assess the physical & psychological challenges associated with quitting. The physical assessment incorporates the measurement of carbon monoxide levels in smoker’s lungs through use of a Smokerlyser & also monitoring of blood pressure.

Counsel – Counselling is the most effective support you will receive when trying to quit. On-going support offered by Chemmart® Pharmacies, includes linking to the ActiveStop® program, where customers will receive daily support through motivational SMS messages & e-mails. Chemmart® stop-smoking consultants are also available for support.

Select – Trained Chemmart® staff will implement a program specifically designed to the needs of the customer, which incorporates NRT (Nicotine Replacement Therapy). NRT delivers a constant, controlled flow of nicotine without the harmful carcinogenic toxins found in cigarette smoke.
